So I found this little linky party and decided to join in.
What really caught my eye was the fourteen.
You see, fourteen is my lucky number.
I absolutely love this quote,
Shoes, shoes, shoes - I just can't narrow it down.
A girl can simply NOT have too many shoes.
Mind you, sometimes I don't remember to wear a matching pair - see number 4 below!
If you have children of your own, you will understand that when you finally get a babysitter and manage to get your hubby out on a date night, the last thing you want is to be around other people's children in the theatre. We have found the PERFECT solution to this here in Vancouver.
Check out the photo below. You have to be 19 plus years old to get in - that's the drinking age here in BC, and you get food and drink service in your seat until the movie starts. Check out the photo below. The middle armrest folds up and you can snuggle your honey during the show. It's only a few dollars more per ticket too.
They were my favourite books when I started teaching 20 years ago. In fact, I originally borrowed them from a colleague. If you haven't managed to watch this series yet, you don't know what you are missing.
My favourite restaurant experience this year was for my anniversary. We were in Palm Springs and we went to Spencers. It was outside in the courtyard in the desert. TOTALLY ROMANTIC. My hubby definitely can plan a date!
We went to Disneyland with another family. I have to say that it was the BEST way to see Disneyland. I highly recommend travelling with another family whenever possible. There was always someone who wanted to go on a roller coaster, and always someone available to go see a Princess or two. And at one point, the boys were in line for a roller coaster, the girls were off in Ariel's Grotto, and I found myself alone in Disneyland. Talk about a dream vacation! I sat down somewhere in California Adventures with a Beer and a Hot Dog and nobody talking to me, or arguing with me, or whining, or shouting, or screaming and I enjoyed the solitude in a park for of thousands of people. It was heavenly!
Isn't he adorable?
Last summer I lost my little buddy. He didn't come home one night, and was probably dinner for a coyote, or some other predator - we live on the edge of the forest. Anyway, a few months later, my hubby brought home this adorable little guy. His name is Cola - like the drink - and he's totally absolutely the most affectionate cat I've ever met.
I have this image pinned to a board called "Memories from my Childhood".
This image reminds me of being cozy and happy.
It reminds me of long hours of playing with my Little People.
It reminds me of my old house.
It reminds me of my childhood.
I wrote a guest post for Rachel Lynette's blog Mind's In Bloom.
to check it out. I agonized over this post, and I'm pretty proud of the result.
I slaved over my blog, my store, and my products this summer. I've been a TPT seller for a few years now, but this year I decided to try and make some money. We were on strike from mid- June to the end of September so money was tight/ So I had lots of time, and a very supportive hubby and I spent 14 hour days at my computer and my TPT sales responded appropriately.
Check out my sales graph.
I am a full-time teacher, full-time mommy, and now trying to be a full-time TPT'er - does that sound right? Well, some days I get a bit scattered. Here's a photo of my feet - at the Mall, no less - that I took last summer. I have walked out with two different socks before, but two completely different coloured shoes is a complete first for me. I can't believe I made it to the mall before I realized my mistake.
But the best memory was when my daughter got completely tongue tied after waiting 45 minutes to meet her favourite fairy "princess" - Tinkerbell.
My hubby has been on this track for several months now and has lost 50 pounds. I have decided that now I am ready to follow him on the road to better health. I'm not just talking about food, but also about exercise, sleep, and more face time with my own children.
I am working hard at TPT, and my sales have improved, but I am not where I want to be yet. But I plan to perservere and be PATIENT. All the feedback seems to say that this is what I need to work on next.
Here's to a fabulous 2015!!!!
